Main
Desk provides a comprehensive view of a shift, showing
who is working, who's not, what positions are filled by whom, and
what positions or employees are not yet assigned. With a click of
the mouse button, main desk personnel make last minute changes to
schedules and assignments and they log unscheduled absences. Notes
can be quickly added to an employee's schedule for automatic review
by back-office personnel.
The Employees
window tracks everything about each employee. View or modify an
employee's schedule, change an employee's job assignment...even
view a photo of the employee. Did an employee change his/her name?
Get promoted? Transferred? No problem. These tasks can be performed
in seconds.
Scheduling
is an automated process that can schedule workers indefinitely
into the future. The scheduling process is defined by your organization
to fit your needs. Most police organizations have different groups
of employees who are on different schedule rotations. No problem.
You set up the rules for your employees, either individually or
by group, and the automatic scheduler takes it from there.
Assignments
are handled differently in every organization. Here, too, On Duty
allows for the ultimate in flexibility and control. Assignments
can be set up to be completely automatic and they can be overridden
as needed. Alternate assignments can be established with priorities
to allow for smooth handling of scheduled absences or overlapping
schedules. Combinations of one-person and two-person cars are not
a problem. On Duty can fill some positions with available employees,
while leaving other positions unfilled in the absence of the people
who regularly work them. It's all in your control...On Duty will
do as much as you want, but it doesn't get in your way because it
recognizes that there are some situations that require human judgment.
Leave Time in a police department can be a complicated
matter. Civilians and police personnel have different benefits.
Union contracts may call for different benefits for different employees.
Some time benefits accrue on certain calendar dates, while other
time benefits are based on dates of hire. Some benefits are capped,
while others accrue without limit. On Duty smoothly handles all
of this complexity and more. On Duty accrues leave time automatically
each day, keeping your records up-to-date. Integration with the
Main Desk allows for simple tracking of unscheduled absences and
proper recording of leave time deductions. On Duty provides precise,
accurate records to minimize disputes over available time. On Duty
keeps a detailed audit trail of all changes to available leave time
so that you know who made the changes and whey they were made.
Reports are
available to provide the big picture. Some departments prefer to
work from printed reports, while others prefer a paperless operation.
With On Duty, each report can be previewed on the screen, printed
to any standard windows printer, or e-mailed via the Internet or
your organization's internal mail system.
Security can be configured to your
department's needs. Security is hierarchical, with the levels set
and controlled by you. All users must log in with a username and
password. They can only access the functions that you allow them
to. The design of the security system minimizes setup and maintenance
chores, while providing complete protection for sensitive information
and restricted operations. |
